If the causes of yellowing of the lawn are parasitic, such as noctuas that eat the roots, there are a series of active substances registered on turf that can solve the problem such as Deltamethrin or Cypermethrin.

But in this article we would like to promote the culture of the garden, understood as a safe space where to live and play in a protected way with the whole family.

To avoid a yellowing lawn in winter and better manage the turf, it would be advisable to sharpen your ingenuity using a strategy built substantially on prevention, which involves attention to some very important aspects:

• Irrigation management

Water is the main cause of yellowing of the lawn, in fact giving abundant water at inappropriate times increases the risk of contracting diseases, especially in the hottest seasons. We recommend that you always turn on the system early in the morning.

• The cutting height

• Organic matter

However, we can be careful not to step on the turf in case snow or frost has formed on the lawn. In fact, the pressure exerted by the footfall would favor the formation of ice and the high compression would make gas exchange difficult.

Low temperatures lead the lawn to contract the Microdochium Nivale commonly known as Pink Meadow Rot, a fungal disease recognizable by the characteristic yellowed lawn with circular patches on pink.

This fungal disease is always active in the coldest and wettest periods of the year, only during the summer it remains inactive.
