Raspberries cultivation in soil
Raspberries are small fruits that are very popular and equally healthy for their high content of antioxidants and other valuable substances.
The raspberry plant is a very rustic plant and grows well in the Mediterranean environment, it tolerates cold but not frost, and as a shrub it fears wind, snow and hail. It is a semi-shaded plant because it does not like excessive exposure.
It prefers light and permeable soils, but it also adapts well to clayey soils provided that there is no stagnation of water. It vegetates well in soils with an acidic pH of 5-5.5 and does not like any reduction in the roots following any tillage; for this reason, fertilizers should not be buried and very soluble fertilizers should be used and left uncovered.
At this point you may be wondering: what fertilizer to give raspberries?
If you continue reading our guide you will find the answer to this and another question, namely: when to fertilize raspberries?
To the plant
- Tiofer at 100 kg/1000 sqm +
- Agromaster 15-20-15 100 kg/1000 sqm
After planting
It will be useful to stimulate the plant to vegetate and thus expand the root system. A couple of fertigation interventions with:
It will then be necessary to monitor the field to check for possible attacks of spider mites, thrips larvae:
- Blackjak at 200cc/hl+
- Vertimec pro at 100 cc/hl+
- Lecithin 80 MS at 100 cc/hl

Fertilizing raspberries
A foliar fertilizer can always be added to all the mixtures indicated, e.g.:
and others that improve vegetation, stimulate photosynthesis processes, resistance to abiotic stress and resistance to bacteria and viruses.
For the prevention and defense against root diseases, to regenerate the soil or the fertilizer substrate, as well as to prevent and defend against the larvae of wireworms such as beetle, popillia, ferretti, mole cricket and weevil, we recommend:
- Micosat Radinet,
- Klozer G 20 GR,
- Mebov FR,
- Larvanem
We remind you that knowledge of individual products or the assistance of a technician is necessary for the targeted and effective use of these technical means.
Raspberry plants go into production as early as the year after planting, so adequate irrigation and maintenance nutrition systems must be provided through irrigation.
We are of the opinion that the bottom fertilization of raspberries is the one to which the success of the cultivation is entrusted, while fertigation has the sole function of rescue, being even more expensive, but certainly useful for correcting any deficiencies.

Suggest:
- Prodigy Plus,
- Agromaster 30-10-10,
- Agromaster 15-20-15,
- Agromaster 12-12-22,
- Polysulphate.
The products listed above are very soluble, stable and resistant to washout and can be distributed without burial.
Water-soluble for fertigation
- Ferrum XQ,
- Growel,
- Master Supreme (various titles),
- Agrolution 15-13-25.
