First step: we know our enemy

The leafhopper (Empoasca decedens) is a small, light green insect.

After a spring period spent on herbaceous plants, the leafhopper migrates and heads to stone fruits in summer.

Second step: How to recognize the attack of the stone fruit leafhopper

You can recognize the leafhopper attack by looking at the leaves of your plants.

The leafhopper, in fact, attacks through suction that suck the linfa directly from the veins of the leaves, taking away nourishment from the plant.

For this reason, the leaves will appear crumpled, yellowed and dried at the apex or at the edges of the flap.

Be careful, therefore, not to attribute the symptoms of the leaves to a lack of magnesium or potassium and focus all your strength on the little green bug.

Why is it so important to act promptly against the leafhopper?
