Safety footwear is used to protect the foot while working. They must be identified with the Community symbol "CE" and the number of the international standard.
There are three types of safety footwear:

  • Safety footwear, tested according to the ISO 20345 standard: they have a rigid toe cap at the toe that can withstand a weight of 20 kg dropped from 1 meter in height.
  • Protective footwear, tested according to the ISO 20346 standard: with a rigid toe cap at the toe that withstands a weight of 20 kg but from half a meter in height.
  • Work footwear, tested according to ISO 20347: not equipped with toe cap
