Haifa P is a technical phosphoric acid with the highest concentration (85%) available on the market. Phosphate fertilizer units are readily assimilated. Depending on its purity, it allows water to be acidified with less increase in salinity than other acids for agricultural use available. Advantages of using orthophosphoric acid in agriculture:

• Maximum phosphorus efficiency, with robust and balanced crop development
• Ability to lower the pH of the soil even if only temporarily by making available microelements otherwise immobilized in high pH soils
• Optimal crop quality yield (sugars, colors and aromas)
• There are no precipitate formations induced by impurities, particularly with hard water
• Ability to eliminate bicarbonates (water softening) and resolubilization of microelements
• Cleaning action of the hoses by solubilizing mineral concretions already formed and/or preventing them from forming by keeping them in solution (in particular with hard water and/or rich in iron)

Composition haifa P orthophosphoric acid:

• Total phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5) from orthophosphoric acid 61.0 % w/w
• equivalent to total phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5) from acid 102.5 % w/v

Haifa P phosphoric acid depending on its purity can be effectively used in the following three areas of use:

1. Phosphate fertilization: 100 kg of HAIFA P phosphoric acid provide 61 fertilizer units, maximum concentration of phosphorus pentoxide. In fertigation in the initial stages when the crop requires high quantities of phosphorus to form a well-developed root system and/or promote the resumption of root activity; essential when you want to contain the vegetative development of crops. An average dosage is 40 - 80 kg/ha.
2. Cleaning of irrigation networks: with the constant use of HAIFA P at a dose of 0.2 - 0.5 litre/m3/hour, the formation of concretions and mineral deposits in the irrigation system, in particular in drippers, is prevented. In the case of evident concretions that limit the flow rate of the drippers, add HAIFA P at a dose of 1 - 2 liter/m3/hour, treating for about 1/2 hours.
3. Acidification of solutions for pesticide treatments: the sub-acidic pH solution is optimal for most pesticide and weed control products, improving their efficiency; Average dosage is 30÷50 cc/hl, placed in the container to do the treatments before dissolving the various products, keeping the water slightly agitated. It is advisable to check the most appropriate dosage based on the hardness of the water and the pH value you want to achieve.
4. Water softening and acidification: if you want to reduce the hardness of the water, you must add 70 cc of HAIFA P per m3 of water for each meq/litre of HCO3 bicarbonate - which you intend to eliminate.
