How does an automatic disc filter work?
Filtration: The filter element generates a centrifugal force that keeps solid particles away from the discs, delaying their clogging. Water passes through the surface of grooved discs and solids become trapped in the filter element.
Backwash: The inversion of the flow through the filter mass causes the decompression of the same and allows the individual discs to separate. The water, through small tangential jets, invests the surface of the discs, rotating them and ensuring complete and effective cleaning.
