KOPPERT Enermix is effective for the control of greenhouse whitefly and tobacco whitefly
How does that work:
The adult females parasitize the larvae of the second, third and fourth stage of the whitefly, the pupae of the latter once parasitized by Encarsia formosa, will take on a blackish color while the pupae of the white tobacco fly will take on a brownish color.
On the other hand, whitefly pupae parasitized by Eretmocerus eremicus will turn yellow.
Product Specifications:
Box, containing strips of cardboard with n. different sheets according to the packaging. On each sheet there are 60 parasitized whitefly pupae,30 E. formosa and 30 E. eremicus surrounded by plastic.
How to use:
Carefully open the container inside the greenhouse, fold and tear the strips starting to cut them from the side opposite the hole used to hang them.
Hang the strips on the plants at a height of about 75 cm, possibly below the top and not in direct sunlight.
Dosages:
The dosage of enermix depends on the climate, the crop, the density of whiteflies, it should always be adapted to the specific situation. Start the introduction in advance. Introduction dosages generally range from 1 to 10 per m2/release. Deploy at least 3 times at weekly intervals or until fully checked.
Environmental conditions:
Encarsia formosa is most effective at temperatures between 20 and 25 °C
Retmocerus eremicus, the average temperature inside the greenhouse must be at least 20 °C
Joint Use:
It is recommended to use Enermix together with generic predatory mites (Amblyseius andersoni, Amblyseius swirskii, Neoseiulus cucumeris or Amblydromalus limonicus)
Since the application of this product may result in sensitization or allergic reactions, it is recommended that you take the necessary precautions.
Storage and packaging:
Since biological control products have a (very) short life cycle, they should be introduced into the crop as soon as possible after receipt.
The shelf life is 1 - 2 days after receiving the product.
Store the product at a temperature of 8 - 10°C, away from light sources and ensure proper ventilation to avoid an accumulation of CO2.
